In a small town, together with her mother and grandmother, there lived a little girl. Mom and grandmother loved their baby very much and spoiled her, forgiving the girl’s pranks and whims. Tanya is used to always being the center of attention. And if they made comments to her, crying was immediately heard, often turning into a roar. Tears flowed from her beautiful eyes in three streams, lingering on her plump cheeks, the wings of her upturned nose, filling the dimples on her cheeks and chin, dripping on her dress and the floor. The more Tanya was reassured, the louder she sobbed, secretly enjoying the adults’ concern for her. Over time, Tanya got used to being capricious and turned into an ordinary crybaby.
This happened on Tanya's birthday. Mom and grandmother were preparing for the holiday, the girl, as always, was capricious. And when her mother asked her to put away the toys, Tanya refused:
- What more! Should I clean on my birthday?
Mom, sighing heavily, sat down tiredly on a chair:
- I have no more strength...
- Okay, I'll clean it up. - The grandmother said and, so that her granddaughter would stop being capricious, she began to pick up toys from the floor.
Then Tanya remembered the gifts that her mother and grandmother promised her. For two months she asked them to buy her a bicycle, like the one Natasha had from the next door.
“I don’t have money for this,” my mother answered. - We need to prepare you for school, buy clothes, shoes, books.
After Tanya was refused, she threw a tantrum, and the grandmother, in the end, promised to come up with something to calm her granddaughter down. And now Tanya, after all, hoped that her wish would come true.
- Mom, well, show me the gift, well, show me! “I’ll take a look at least with one eye,” the girl asked.
The grandmother gave way to her granddaughter in such cases. And now she said conciliatoryly:
- Yes, show me. Let Tanyusha be happy.
Mom moved the can of tomato to the edge of the table, wiped the table and put on it from a bag a white blouse with a lace collar, a velvet skirt and a backpack with books.
- Well, how? Are you satisfied? - she asked, stepping aside.
- And it's all? - the girl asked through tears with offense. - And the bicycle?
- Where will I get so much money? - Mom got angry.
- I don’t need your books and your clothes! - the birthday girl sobbed and pushed her backpack away from her.
A can fell from the table and broke. The tomato spilled over the surface of the floor, and first a white blouse fell into it, and then books fell from the backpack. Mom wanted to say something, but only silently opened her mouth. Grandmother rushed to pick up the books. Finally, mom said:
- I don’t need such a capricious daughter...
Tanya felt offended: “Nobody loves me! They didn’t buy a bicycle!”
“And stop crying,” my mother continued, “I’ll send you to the Island of Crybabies to the same naughty and capricious children.”
Of course, the mother only wanted to scare her daughter, but her words were heard by the evil witch Radish. And when Tanya, out of resentment overwhelming her, ran out into the street, an unfamiliar old woman immediately appeared in front of her and affectionately addressed the little girl:
- Tanya, do you want us to go to a magical land? There no one will scold you or re-educate you. In a magical land there live girls and boys just like you. All day long they play on the green lawns among the flowers. If someone wants to cry, then you can cry as much as you want. They will love you there and only praise you for everything you do. Want?
It seemed to Tanya that she was the kindest fairy in the world. And since Tanya loved all sorts of adventures, she quickly agreed to the old woman’s persuasion to go to a fairyland.
“Take this magic ball, it will help you get to a magical land,” said the witch.
Of course, it was her - Radish.
- Close your eyes and turn over your left shoulder three times, count to three and only then open your eyes.
Tanya did everything as the old woman taught her. And when she opened her eyes, she was surprised to find that she was in a green meadow, covered with flowers, and there were small houses all around, like toys. Taking a closer look, Tanya saw that near them, here and there, children were wandering around, holding something in front of them.
- Hooray! I'm in a magical land! The good fairy did not deceive me. - The girl exclaimed enthusiastically and clapped her hands.
She didn’t even notice that the balloon with which she flew here had burst. Tanya ran cheerfully along the green grass towards the small houses. And in front of the first house she stopped in indecision: from it, like from other houses, children’s crying could be heard. The little girl hid behind a tree and decided to see what would happen next...
Suddenly, from around the corner of the last house, a little boy in short pants and a blue T-shirt came out. The baby cried loudly, and he carefully wiped away the tears running from his blue eyes with a handkerchief. When the handkerchief became wet from tears, the boy squeezed it into a clay jug hanging on his chest.
- What are you doing? - Tanya asked the boy in surprise.
When he saw the girl, he stopped crying and, staring at her in surprise, answered the question with a question:
- Why aren’t you crying?
- I don't want.
“You’re probably new,” he guessed. - Wait a little, I’ll pay for the extra jug and explain everything to you. - And he roared again at the top of his voice.
Tanya was surprised to discover that all the children around were sobbing into the same clay jugs. She immediately wanted to know why they were doing this, but the kid said sternly: “Don’t interfere!”
Tanya began to wait for him to explain everything to her.
Here, in the distance, the ringing of bells was heard, and soon a carriage appeared. Horsemen galloped after her. When the carriage arrived, everyone fell silent. The girl saw that a very long and thin man with a red face was sitting in the carriage. Next to him was a fat woman, her face was swollen and brown.
- Who is this? - Tanya asked the baby.
“This is the ruler of the island, the Great Mr. Pepper and his wife, the Most Beautiful Mrs. Mustard,” answered the baby with the most serious look.
- Is she the “most beautiful?” - Tanya laughed.
Her laughter sounded like a shot in the silence. Everyone saw how Great Pepper's face distorted. Jumping out of the carriage, he shouted in a squeaky voice:
-Who gave permission to laugh on my island? Where is Radish? Why doesn't SHE put things in order?
It is unknown where the evil and fat sorceress Radish appeared.
- O Great One! - she exclaimed. - This foolish child has just appeared on your island and does not yet know our laws. In time, the girl will become a loyal subject of Your Majesty.
- Well, well, we need subjects. And the more there are, the better,” Great Pepper calmed down. - Now collect a day's tribute from them!
And he majestically took his place in the carriage and left. Soon a cart with a huge barrel appeared. The kids approached her one by one and handed over their jugs to the guard. Tog looked into them, wrote something down, and then poured the contents into the barrel. When the kid received his jug back, he went to another cart, and there he was given dinner. Tanya saw how one baby was given semolina porridge with grated radish for not crying a full jug, another with onion salad, and a third with garlic puree. Everyone silently took their portion and took it to their houses.
Suddenly, Radish appeared behind Tanya. She grabbed the girl by the hand and dragged her along. Soon they found themselves near a small house, the same as all the others.
“This is where you will live,” the witch pointed to the house. - And don't you dare laugh anymore. All you have to do is cry, and the more the better.
She laughed, looking at the girl’s confused face, and then, having calmed down a little, continued:
- You are on Crybaby Island, and in order to be fed, you must cry a full jug of tears. “She handed Tanya a clay jug and a handkerchief, which suddenly appeared in her hands.
- Oh, you evil old liar! - the girl cried and threw the jug on the ground.
“The fact that you’re crying, well done, but for being an evil old liar, I’ll teach you a lesson!” - The witch exclaimed and began to pinch Tanya.
Tanya cried and fought off Radish, but she only laughed and tormented the girl even more. Finally, the witch decided that she had punished the little girl enough:
“If you don’t do what you’re told, you’ll remain hungry every day, and in the evening I’ll come and teach you sense.”
After the sorceress left, Tanya cried for a long time, remembering her mother and grandmother, how she did not obey them and offended them. Suddenly, someone knocked quietly on the door. Tanya opened it slightly and saw a boy on the threshold.
“My name is Seryozha,” he said. - I, like you, believed Radish and came here. The first days she pinched me, then I became just like everyone else. You must cry too, otherwise they won’t give you anything to eat, and old Radish will torment you in the evenings. We all want to go home, but no one has been able to get out of here yet.
Seryozha sighed heavily.
- Is there really no way to do this?
“I heard,” the kid said thoughtfully, “old Radish spoke about some Storyteller who is imprisoned in a large tower.” They are very afraid of him, and therefore there is always a guard near the tower. Maybe he knows how to get rid of the villains?
- Let's try to see him and, if we can, free him. “He probably knows how to get home,” Tanya was delighted.
- But how do we get into the tower? - Seryozha thought out loud. - Of course, it’s difficult, but in order to return home, I think all the guys will agree to help us.
He sat for a long time, thoughtfully, on a tiny chair.
“Okay,” the boy finally decided, “let’s do this.” Let's warn all the kids so that they are ready to help us when needed, and we ourselves will go to the tower.
“Oh, it’s a pity that there is no magic ball,” Tanya sighed.
- It burst for me too when I got here. And all the guys' balloons burst. “Probably you can’t use them more than once,” Seryozha said with regret.
A bright moon was shining in the sky, and two small figures could be seen running from house to house. This was the first night on the island when none of the children cried. They waited with hope for the return of the two little heroes, who were not afraid to go to the tower at night to save them.
The tower was very old, covered with moss. Only right under the dome, in the darkness, did a small window glow. Large iron doors led inside the tower, near which guards with spears sat, yawning.
Two small shadows flashed near the wall of the tower and disappeared into the bushes that grew nearby.
“We can’t get through now,” Seryozha whispered to the girl, “let’s wait.”
Not far from the tower one could see the gloomy walls of the fortress. Suddenly, the gate opened and a horseman rode out. He headed towards the guards. They jumped up and stood at attention. As the rider approached, one of the guards asked:
- Who goes?
- Guard officer Tsybul brought lunch to the arrested person. - The horseman answered and handed the basket to the guard.
- Perhaps this is their password? - Seryozha whispered.
“You creep closer to the door, and when the guard takes lunch upstairs, I’ll start making noise here, and you’ll slip into the tower.”
“But they’ll grab you,” Tanya whined.
“Go and don’t think about it,” Seryozha ordered sternly.
Tanya obediently moved along the wall. At this time, the guard opened the doors and entered the tower. You could hear him struggling up the stairs. The second guard, wearily, leaned against the wall. Suddenly, a rustling sound attracted his attention, and at the same moment a stone thrown by someone flew at him. The guard stood, stupidly looking around, then rushed to the bushes, Tanya, realizing that the way was clear, immediately rushed into the open doorway. At first she saw nothing, but gradually her eyes began to get used to the darkness. Heavy footsteps were heard from above: apparently, the second guard was descending. Somewhere above, the light of a lantern flashed. Tanya ducked under the stairs and froze. When the door slammed behind the guard, Tanya began to feel her way up the iron stairs. Finally she reached the goal, where the treasured door was. A large rusty key stuck out of the keyhole.
- What a luck! - Tanya thought and turned the key in the lock.
The door opened and she saw a gray-haired man with long hair. He looked tenderly at Tanya:
- Come in, Tanya. I've been waiting for you for a long time.
Tanya liked him immediately.
- How did you know that I was coming, and what is my name? - she asked.
“Sit down, I’ll explain everything now,” the prisoner answered.
Tanya timidly sat down on the bench, and the Great Storyteller, and it was he, began his story:
- When I was little, just like you are now, one good fairy gave me a magic feather. She said that this feather would help me become the Great Storyteller. As soon as I write a fairy tale with a magic pen, the heroes come to life in our world. Everything was fine until I came up with a fairy tale about Crybaby Island. I wanted there to be no more capricious and disobedient children in the world. This is how the evil Radish, Great Pepper, Mrs. Mustard and others appeared on my island.
But I made the old witch so cunning and evil that before she had time to finish the fairy tale, she stole the magic pen from me. Now I'm powerless. That's why the villains managed to imprison me in the tower. It's high time to end the fairy tale. After all, all the children on the island became good and obedient. I am sure that they will never be capricious and upset their parents again. I hoped that someone would be able to get through to me, and we would finish this fairy tale together. Then all the children will return home. And your name, the bats told me.
Listen, Tanya, here's what you have to do: when they bring me breakfast in the morning, you hide in an empty basket and they take you to the castle. The basket will be left in the kitchen, then you will get out of it and enter the palace hall. I don't know where the magic feather is kept. You have to find out for yourself, take it and bring it to me. Then you will run to your friends and tell them to have fun and laugh. By doing this they will help me write a happy ending to the fairy tale. Do you understand everything? Now go to bed, tomorrow you will have amazing adventures and challenges that you must overcome so that all the children return home.
Everything happened as the Great Storyteller said. The basket with the girl was taken to the palace and left in the kitchen. When the voices fell silent and silence fell, Tanya climbed out of the basket and hid under a large table on which stood numerous pots, plates, trays and jugs. After some time, voices were heard in the kitchen: apparently, they had come to prepare dinner for the inhabitants of the palace.
- Mrs. Podliva, what is this they are building near the walls of the prison tower? - asked one voice.
Another voice answered condescendingly:
- This, dear Special, is making a cage in which they will put a rebel boy. Last night he crept up to the tower and tried to kill the guard with a stone.
- And what will happen to him now? - asked the first voice, whose owner was called Special.
“He will be kept in a cage in the open air day and night, and with his tears and moans he will “entertain” the prisoner in the tower,” answered Podliva.
- After all, if you look at it, we all live thanks to the kids. If it weren’t for their tears, from which we cook dinners, we would become smaller and smaller every day until we became ourselves,” reasoned the Special.
- Quiet! Shut up! Don't reveal our terrible secret! - Gravy exclaimed almost in horror. - Make lunch quickly. When everything is ready, you ring the bell. I'll go and take a nap.
And Tanya heard someone walk heavily past, then the door slammed. Looking out from her hiding place, the girl saw a small, thin man, as if sprinkled with multi-colored powder. He conjured over the pots, deftly stirring their contents, sprinkling the food with spices. Finally, he finished cooking, tasted the food and, satisfied, smacked his tongue.
“It was a great lunch,” he said and began to stack pots, cans and jugs on a large stretcher.
After examining his work, the Specialist left.
Tanya came out of her hiding place and ran up to the stretcher. Lifting the lid of one of the pots, she dipped her finger in and tasted it. It was a soup that tasted bitter and salty. The girl winced and spat. Suddenly it occurred to her to swap the cans and, empty, enter the palace hall. With difficulty, the baby managed to pull the can off the stretcher and pull it to the side. And as soon as she had time to put the empty one down, she heard the ringing of a bell and footsteps outside the door. Tanya barely had time to climb into the can when the door opened, strong hands lifted the stretcher and carried it somewhere. The girl really wanted to sneeze, she wanted so badly that tears came to her eyes, but she endured it. After all, if she reveals herself, everything is lost.
Finally, the stretcher lowered. Having opened the lid, Tanya looked out and saw that she was in a huge hall. In the middle of the hall there is a large table with high carved chairs. The girl got out of the can and hid behind the window curtains.
The courtiers were already getting ready for dinner. Who wasn’t there! Long, thin and short, fat people entered the hall; their faces were red, green and yellow. Tanya felt scared, but she froze in her hiding place and courageously watched what was happening.
Finally, the arrival of the Great Pepper and the Most Beautiful Mustard was announced. Everyone greeted them with respectful bows. The majestic couple walked to the table, followed by the sorceress Radish, puffing and puffing.
When everyone was seated, the servants began to serve dishes: bitter tears in tomato sauce, sobs with garlic seasoning, groans stuffed with onions... The guests talked happily until they started talking about the impudent boy.
- If everyone rebels, then it will be bad for us. He needs to be thoroughly punished so that others will be discouraged, so that they will be afraid not only to throw stones at the guards, but also to walk around without permission at night. - Great Mustard boomed angrily.
“He probably wanted to free the Storyteller,” Great Pepper squeaked. “It’s your fault, old hag, that the children are no longer afraid of us.” I demand that you give me the magic feather immediately! I will become the Great Pepper - a storyteller!
“Yes, if it weren’t for me,” Radish shouted, jumping up, “none of you would have existed long ago!” You will never be a Great Storyteller! You will only ruin the pen, and then we and the island will disappear. Here it is a feather! I swear by the tops, no one will touch it except me!
And she raised her hand high. A magic feather shone in it.
- Give it back! - Great Pepper squealed and rushed at Radish.
- Give it back! - Great Mustard yelled and also rushed at the Witch.
The courtiers jumped up from their seats and surrounded the fighters. Some even climbed onto the table to see everything better.
Tanya noticed that someone had knocked the magic feather out of Radish’s hands. It flew far to the side. Nobody paid attention to this. Bent down, Tanya ran up to the feather, grabbed it and darted back to her old place, unnoticed by anyone.
- Stop, everyone! Otherwise I will turn you into garden vegetables! - Radish shouted.
There was silence. Then everyone began to return to the table. The Great Pepper and the Most Beautiful Mustard, fairly rumpled, but full of dignity, sat down in their places.
- Who has a magic feather? - Radish suddenly came to her senses.
The hall became even quieter.
- Guards! Close all entrances and exits! - the witch ordered.
- Now I will search you all, and woe to the one who has a feather!
Everyone understood that this was not a simple threat. Old Radish will stop at nothing in her anger.
Tanya was no longer thinking about anything except how to quickly disappear from here. She tucked the Magic Feather into her bosom and began tiptoeing behind the curtains to the open window. Looking out of it, the girl froze in fear. It's very far from the ground. A lightning rod wire was attached to the wall next to the window.
“This is the only salvation,” Tanya thought, “if I don’t dare to go down it, then they will soon find me, and then everything is lost.”
And the courageous girl stepped into the window opening. The wire was slippery, and if the baby had slipped down, it would have broken. Her heart was beating wildly, but she, gritting her teeth and closing her eyes, bravely descended the wall. There was only one thought in her head: “When will there finally be earth?” Suddenly, the baby’s feet rested on something hard. Opening her eyes, the girl was convinced that she was on the ground. Raising her head, she looked in horror at the window, which could be seen somewhere high, high, then looked around the yard - no one. Apparently, all the guards are in the palace. And Tanya ran into the open doors of some building. It turned out that this was a stable. Climbing into the far corner, she buried herself in the hay and, unnoticed by herself, fell asleep from all the experiences of that day. Someone's angry voice woke her up:
- Take dinner to the prisoner. Password: "onion garlic." Guards have already been placed around. The old witch is furious: the magic feather has disappeared. All suspicious people are grabbed, searched and put in a dungeon. Jump back and forth quickly. The password is changed every two hours.
Tanya looked out from her hiding place and saw two guards come out of the stables. Near the horses stood a familiar basket. Without thinking twice, she pulled out its contents and hid it in the hay, while she lay down in it and hid. Without incident, she was taken to the Great Storyteller's cell.
“You are a brave girl, I’m glad I wasn’t mistaken about you,” he said, hugging Tanya. - Now they won’t get away from me. But you must warn the guys so that they help us as agreed. Now I will lower you on a rope from the tower window. Are not you afraid?
Tanya looked indignantly at the Great Storyteller.
“I know you’re not afraid,” he smiled and stroked the girl’s head.
Going down was no longer so scary, especially since she knew that reliable strong hands were holding her. Having dropped to the ground, she walked along the wall. The moon was shining and it was as visible as day. Having reached the corner, bending low, she ran towards the kids' houses. There was so much joy when Tanya talked about the Great Storyteller, the magic pen and her extraordinary adventures! During the entire existence of the island, there was no case of people laughing on it. And here, from the very morning, all the children, pouring out into the clearing, merrily sang, danced, and jumped. Loud laughter could be heard far away.
Suddenly, the castle gates opened, and guards and courtiers ran out and rushed to the kids. An enraged Radish jumped out, followed by Pepper and Mustard. They all ran up to the children, began to scream and scare them. But the guys ran away from them, as if they were playing hide and seek. Suddenly, in front of the amazed children, the Great Pepper began to shrink. Soon it shrank to the size of an ordinary pepper that grows in a garden. The same transformations began to happen to others. Instead of the Most Beautiful Mustard, the children saw an ordinary glass jar with diluted mustard. Instead of guards, green bow arrows were lying in the meadow. The most recent one to be transformed was the old witch Radish. She howled and circled, then shriveled up and everyone saw a big old garden radish. How much joy the children had! No one noticed how Seryozha joined them.
Suddenly, the outlines of the fortress and tower began to blur and, after a moment, disappeared completely. All that was left was a clearing and houses. And towards the kids, the Great Storyteller walked.
- Children! - he said, approaching.
Everyone got quiet...
“I’m very glad that everything turned out well, and you will see your family soon.” I hope you won't upset them anymore?
- No! - the children answered in unison.
- And will you be obedient and help your parents in everything?
- Yes! - the guys shouted in unison.
- And in parting, I want to tell you that my island caused you a lot of grief, but it also gave you joy. You have found friends and realized that you need to fight evil together, amicably, and then no Radish is scary.
He extended his hand and continued:
- Now I will give you a magic ball, you will inflate it, close your eyes, turn around over your left shoulder, count to three and find yourself at home.
And immediately, the kids had multi-colored balls in their hands. The children happily began to inflate them. But suddenly the children became sad. Some had tears in their eyes.
Tanya approached the Great Storyteller:
- Are we really parting forever? Promise us that you will write a fairy tale in which we could meet again,” the girl asked.
The narrator smiled affectionately:
- Dear children, I promise you that I will definitely write a good fairy tale. And now it's time to go home.
The kids were very happy and began to inflate their balloons. Several minutes passed and there was no one left in the meadow. The Great Storyteller sighed and slowly walked along the houses. A new fairy tale was brewing in his head...

A fairy tale about a crybaby

The beautiful butterfly Andrei flew and flew in the clearing and somehow became bored. He sat down on a white daisy and cried.

Ladybug Nastya flew past. She saw a moth and sat down next to it.

- Why are you crying? – asked the ladybug.

- Don't know. “I just wanted to,” answered the moth.

Ladybug Nastya thought and thought and also began to cry.

Then the mosquito Misha happened to fly past. He also saw that the ladybug Nastya and the moth Andrei were crying. The mosquito Misha sat down on a white daisy and asked them:

- Why are you crying? What happened to you?

“Nothing happened to us,” answered the moth.

“We’re just crying,” answered the ladybug.

The mosquito Misha thought and thought and also began to cry. If everyone is crying, then why shouldn’t he cry too?

The wasp Nina heard the children's crying. She flew up to the kids and asked:

- Why are you shedding tears?

“We’re just shedding tears.” It's boring that's all.

Nina the wasp shook her head and said:

- Instead of crying for no reason, it would be better to do something interesting!

Nina the wasp suggested that the kids water the flowers in her garden.

The moth Andrei, the ladybug Nastya and the mosquito Misha were delighted and flew after the wasp Nina. They began to water the flowers. It turned out that this is much more interesting than just shedding tears.

    • WHISPERING OF THE WIND

As time went. The girl continued to live high in the mountains. She forgot that she was an Angel in the past. I only remembered my dream to find out what love is. After all, it was precisely for this reason that she violated the laws of the Almighty, left heaven and descended to earth. Having become a human, the girl continued to dream about this great feeling. In her dreams, she often heard the words “I love you” from a stranger dear to her heart. When I woke up, every time I tried to remember his face, but I couldn’t.

AND THE HEART CONTINUES TO LIVE

Tasha moved the diary away from her, where she was once again writing a letter to her beloved. There were tears in my eyes. Several tears managed to fall onto the page with the letter and blurred, catching the ink of the black paste, causing some of the words to become cloudy and incomprehensible. The girl didn't even notice it. Her thoughts were far away. She relived her first love again and again. It ended so sadly.

      CHRONICLES FROM THE WINDOWSILL

Exactly. I am a flower fairy from the country of Merry Drop! - the girl confirmed.
      - What is your name? - asked Cyclamen.
      - Mmmm, Daisy! - the fairy giggled, and then quickly added: - Oh, no. My name is Rio Ritka.
      - How so? - Cyclamen looked askance incredulously. - Daisy or is it Rio Ritka?
      - Call me Rio-Ri! - The fairy giggled even more.
-Are you fooling us? - Cyclamen was offended.
      - No. What do you. I just come up with a new name for myself every day,” the fairy sat down on the edge of the Cactus flower pot.

      VILLAGE ADVENTURES

I expected more. I was hoping to enter the fence and gasp, “What a beauty,” but it turned out differently.
      - Wow. There are burdocks all around - I was upset when I saw thorns and carrot thickets.
      - Nobody lived here for a long time. “We’ll put things in order here, and it will be beautiful,” said mom. She walked towards the house with her bags. We, of course, did not lag behind.
The dilapidated porch, as soon as we stepped on it, creaked terribly. I was even afraid that it might crumble under us. But I was afraid in vain, as the future showed, it is even more alive than all the living.
The house was cool and dark and smelled damp.
“That’s because the shutters are closed,” dad explained. - I'll open them now.
Walking around the house, he opened the shutters. Sunlight immediately flooded the rooms...

A fairy tale for children who often cry and are naughty

An evening fairy tale for children was on TV. The story was very funny. Even mom laughed, even dad laughed, although not as loud as mom.

At the funniest moment, Olino’s thin “heck-heck-heck” joined Mom’s “ha-ha-ha” and Dad’s “gee-gee-gee.” It became stronger and stronger until it turned into a thick “y-y-y!”

“Why are you whining, my daughter?” - Mom was surprised.

- Why didn’t Piggy come?!

- I don’t know, Olenka. He probably went to visit his grandmother.

- I want Piggy! Ah-ah-ah! I want Piggy!

Mom wanted to get angry, but she changed her mind.

- Shall I tell you a story? New? - Mom asked.

Who would refuse a fairy tale, especially a new one, and even on mom’s lap?

“Then sit quietly and listen.”

“Once upon a time there was a girl. Her name was Snivel. All day long she did nothing but whine, be capricious, cry and roar. She did it very skillfully, masterfully. As soon as he opens his mouth, all sorts of whimpers immediately begin to fly out of it: “hack-hack-hack”, “cough-cough-cough”, “ah-ah-ah!”, “oo-oo-oo!” and many other things that cannot be conveyed in words or described with a pen.

Mom will buy a cake for Knykalka, she will eat the flowers and whine:

- Cough-cough-cough... I want more flowers!

Mom and Whine will go for a bike ride, Whine will turn the steering wheel in the wrong direction, run into a tree and whine again:

- Henna, henna, henna... Why is there a tree here?!

One day a mother and daughter went out into the yard. The weather outside is wonderful. The sun looks from the sky and smiles. But Knykalka did not even have time to reach the sandbox before she began to whimper:

- Hack-hack-hack... I don’t want to play in dry sand, I want to play in wet sand!

“Daughter,” says mom, “you dig up the top, there will be wet sand below.”

- I don’t want to be downstairs... Cough-cough-cough... I want to be upstairs!

- What a whiner you are! - Mom got angry. - sit here and don’t go anywhere. I’ll bake pies at home and look at you from the window.

Mom left. The whimper left the sand with a scoop back and forth and got bored. Then a girl came out of the next door and skipped towards Khnykalka:

- Let's play with you.

- Let's! - Snivel was delighted. - What is your name?

- Lyuba. And you?

- Whining.

I felt sorry for Lyuba Khnykalka: her name was very ugly and offensive. She gave Knykalka some candy and said:

- You and I will bake Easter cakes. You bake there, and I’m here.

- No, I’m there, and you’re here.

Lyuba did not argue:

- Fine.

Lyuba baked three Easter cakes, but Khnykalka couldn’t make any of them, they all crumbled.

“Look,” Lyuba suggested, “how I do it, and you can do it too.” Do not Cry!

- Henna, henna, henna... I don’t want to watch!

“Uh-uh...” Lyuba was surprised. “So that’s why they call you Whimper.” Then play alone. And I'll go to the other guys. They're fun!

Knykalka was left alone again. Suddenly she feels someone rubbing against her leg. Kitty!

“Meow-meow, pur-mur-mur...” the kitten meowed: let’s play, they say!

Whining extended her hand, grabbed the kitten by the tail and pulled it towards her:

“Come on,” he says, “let’s play!”

The kitten hissed, arched his back, twisted around and hit Whine in the hand.

- Oh oh oh! - Whinepaw roared. - Nasty cat!

“She’s n-n-nasty,” the kitten hissed and ran away from the bad girl.

The sun frowned and covered itself with a cloud so as not to see the crybaby girl.

And from Knykalka the tears flow and flow. Now the sand in the sandbox was all wet, now streams were flowing in different directions, now the sand was no longer visible. Knykalka stands knee-deep in a puddle and roars.

Cloud took it and licked Whining with her wet tongue.

- A-ah-ah! Y-s-s! - Whining cried even louder. - Khe! Kwy-kwy-kwy! Kwa-kwa-kwa!

Mom looked out the window - no daughter! She quickly ran out into the street and saw: what is it? There was no rain, but there was a puddle in the yard. And the puddle gets bigger and bigger. A frog crawled out of the puddle and croaked.

“Kwa-kwa-kwa,” said the frog: they say, it’s me, mommy, your daughter Knykalka.

Whining cried even more:

- Kva-kva-kva! - “I want to go to my mother!”

Before she had time to look back, she found herself in the puddle again. And the puddle is salty and disgusting! Knykalka began to work with her paws, climbed out onto a mound, lay down and cried. And the puddle just keeps coming towards her from all sides. Any moment there will be a bump under the tears.

Oh, how I don’t want to wallow in salt water again! What should I do? Whining then realized that she would remain forever in a puddle if she didn’t stop crying. She gathered all her strength and... stopped.

Sunny saw this and decided to help Knykalka. It directed its rays onto the puddle, and immediately there wasn’t even a wet spot left from the puddle.

The frog was happy:

- Kwa! - shouted: “Thank you!”

The sun stroked her head with his warm palm, and in the place of the frog the girl appeared again. She stands in the sandbox, the hot sand tickles her heels and makes her happy. The whiny girl even laughed quietly: It turns out that it’s so good to be a girl and stand in the sandbox. And why was she whining all the time, stupid?

After riding down the hill, Lyuba and her friends came running.

-Can I play with you? - Whine asked.

“Play,” the girls agreed.

Together they began to build a city out of sand. Yes, everything is fine with them and it’s fun - you’ll fall in love!

Then mom appeared:

- Daughter, where have you been? - speaks. “I ran around all the yards here, asking: has anyone seen the whining girl?”

“And you know,” said Lyuba, “she’s no longer a whiner at all, but a very cheerful girl.”

The mother looks at her daughter and does not recognize her: a girl is standing in front of her, her mouth is smiling, her eyes are laughing, the dimples on her cheeks are playing. Lovely to look at such a berry!

- So, you’re not my Snivel now? - Mom asked. “So, you’re Olenka now?”

“I’m Olenka too,” Olya said after listening to the story.

- Is it true? - Mom laughed. - And I thought it was Whine. Then good night, Olenka?

- Good night, mommy!

Once upon a time there lived a girl, Dasha. She was an obedient, good girl, but sometimes she could be capricious, get very angry and stamp her foot. This is the kind of girl Dasha was.
Not far from their house there was a dark, dense forest. Mom did not allow Dasha to go there, always scaring her with a gray wolf, a brown bear and, of course, Baba Yaga.
Dasha always felt scared from such stories, her little heart began to beat loudly, ready to jump out of her chest at any moment.
One fine sunny morning, Dasha’s mother gave her an order: to prepare lunch, since she urgently needed to run errands.
Dasha promised, but never fulfilled the order. Her friends invited her to go for a walk. The weather was wonderful and Dasha decided that she would first take a walk and then have time to prepare everything for her mother’s return. But, as often happens with children, Dasha became very interested in the game and... did not notice how evening had come. Realizing that she wouldn’t make it in time for her mother’s return, she got very scared and ran home as fast as she could. But I didn’t have time.
Mom asked what happened? And Dasha, instead of telling the truth, suddenly began to lie. Mom was very upset and offended that Dasha was lying. She scolded Dasha, but Dasha was so angry with her mother that she decided to run away into the dense forest to spite her.
It was a pleasant summer evening. The sun was still shining high.
“Well, let the wolves eat me, the bear trample me and Baba Yaga carry me away,” thought Dasha, going deeper and deeper into the forest.
Suddenly it suddenly became dark, something began to rustle, squeal and howl protractedly.
Dasha was very scared. She really wanted to go home, but she got lost. The girl screamed shrilly, tears flowed from her eyes.
Suddenly everything suddenly became quiet. There was a ringing silence in the air. Dasha fell silent, afraid to break the ominous silence. But this did not last long. Suddenly thunder and lightning struck, illuminating the forest for a second. The outlines of the trees and their shadows turned out to be so ominous and insidious that Dasha again began to shriek and cry.
- Maaaam, maaaam!!! – Dasha kept screaming in fear. - Maaamochka!!! – and continued to cry.
Mom was too far away and could not help.
Lightning flashed once again, bringing the shadows to life. They stretched their gnarled paws towards Dasha, trying to tear her to pieces. And from all sides the ominous lights of someone’s eyes began to glow. Dasha rushed to run as fast as she could.
There was a very loud thunder with terrible lightning, and it began to rain. Dasha instantly got wet and chilled. She ran, stumbling and falling, clinging to sharp branches that hit her in the face. Lightning flashed, and predatory shadows continued to pursue it. Red and green lights were added to the yellow lights. Dasha was most frightened by the red ones.
It was very difficult to run in the darkness; she stumbled and fell into some kind of liquid, which began to suck her in, smacking her lips. Out of fear, Dasha screamed and lost her voice. She waved her arms in all directions, trying to grab onto something.
When the slurry sucked her almost to her heart, Dasha was still able to grab a rowan branch with both hands and, trying with all her might, tried to escape from the smacking slurry. But it was not to be, her shoes fell to the bottom of the nasty slurry, from which a bony “hand” appeared and grabbed Dasha’s bare foot and began to pull down. Dasha kicked her free leg and grabbed onto something. It was very difficult. The “hand” turned out to be very strong. But Dasha somehow managed to escape from the “hand”. With all her strength she grabbed onto the saving branch and escaped from captivity. She jumped up and ran as fast as she could. A malicious groan echoed through the forest and lightning flashed. Dasha ran with all her might, suddenly, in the light of lightning, she noticed a huge tree with a hollow. She ran up to him, quickly climbed up and dived into the dark hole. She hid in a “corner”, curled up and held her breath.
Having caught her breath and calmed down, she felt that it was very warm and cozy here, and not as dark as it seemed.
The forest still rumbled and sparkled, the rain continued to rage. Something illuminated the hollow with some kind of faded, but pleasant, light. There were a lot of warm dry leaves here. Dasha took off all her wet clothes, buried herself in the leaves, curled up, cried that she ran away from home, offended her mother, but quickly fell asleep. The sleep was sound and dreamless.
Dasha woke up cheerful. All the clothes were already dry. Having dressed and put herself in order, she quickly hurried to get out of here. Although she liked it here, it was not clear whose hollow it was and who lived here.
To her surprise, the sun was shining very brightly; it was already day. Nothing reminded me of yesterday's thunderstorm. Dasha looked around and saw a gap in the spruce trees with a very bright clearing to the side. She quickly climbed down from the tree and hurried there. She saw a wonderful clearing with a small orchard and a small beautiful house. The gentle sun was shining.
The house turned out to be not on chicken legs and even without delicious gingerbread and delicacies, as in one fairy tale she read.
The path was only around the house, to the garden, and there was not a single path from the forest to the house itself. Dasha hurried to go into this wonderful house. She knocked on the door, but when she heard no answer, she entered.
The house smelled delicious of pies and berries. A sweet old lady in an apron stood near the table. She rolled out the dough on the table with a rolling pin.
- Oh! Hello! – Dasha greeted. - Grandma, are you hard of hearing?
And the “grandmother” just laughed out loud at her words. Dasha also had fun. It was clean and cozy here.
- Grandma, you are a laughing stock! – Dasha said through ringing laughter.
And the “grandmother” laughed even more and let’s dance in a squat, with our hands on our sides. Oh, how Dasha had fun. She forgot about her mother again. And the “grandmother” was already waving her handkerchief in the dance, continuing to have fun, and Dasha along with her.
The girl was so immersed in the dance that she stepped on the tail of a black cat with red eyes, which unexpectedly approached her.
The cat screamed, became all fluffy, arched his hump and showed his claws, preparing to pounce on the girl.
Suddenly the “laughing grandmother” stopped the fun and shouted to the cat:
- Go away, you damned one!
And somehow she looked at Dasha terribly. Dasha got scared and screamed:
- Mother! Mommy!!!
– It was necessary earlier! – “grandmother” answered sternly. - You should have called before. It won't help now. Late! – the last word sounded like a sentence.
Masha became very, very scared. Yes, as scary as it has never been before.
- Late? – Dasha asked stuttering.
- It's too late! – “grandmother” repeated in a squeaky, nasty voice. – I was waiting for you yesterday. But every cloud has a silver lining. But I prepared the dough. “She laughed maliciously and waved her handkerchiefs, and in an instant she turned into a terrible, terrible old woman with long fangs.
Dasha screamed loudly again and rushed to the doors, but they were locked. Then Dasha rushed to the window, but the shutters slammed it. Dasha pressed herself against the wall.
– Are you Baba Yaga? – the girl said in a voice trembling with tears.
The old woman laughed even louder. The cat laughed too.
- Baba Yaga appears in fairy tales, and I am Laughter. You called me correctly. As if she knew who I was, and she burst into her squeaky laugh again.
- Ba-ba-ba-grandmother, a-a-w-why were you not scary then?
“So I’m not scary,” and she laughed again.
- A-ah, what do you want to do?
- Like what? – Granny Laughter was sincerely surprised, raising her eyebrows. - To eat you.
- For what? – Dasha squeaked desperately.
- What do you mean why? – the old woman got angry again. “You are a nasty girl, but I love eating things like that.” With pies.
“But I didn’t do anything wrong.” – Dasha tried to justify herself, having lost hope of getting out of here.
– Didn’t you do anything? – the “grandmother” became even more angry and became even more frightening. - Who didn’t listen to mom, huh? Are you angry with your mom? Who ran away into the forest to spite their mother, where she strictly forbade him to go? Who went to have fun with his girlfriends instead of following his mother's orders, huh? These are the cheerful and naughty ones that I eat. That’s why I’m called Laughter,” and she started laughing again.
Dasha went completely limp.
Grandmother Laughter went to the table and sprinkled it with flour, rolled out a large, large piece of dough. She grabbed Dasha under the arms and threw her into the dough on the table. Dasha tried to break free, but the old woman pressed her with one hand, and with the other she very quickly swaddled her in dough, like a child in a swaddle. Only one face remains. The old woman would have swaddled him too, if not for one circumstance that spoiled all her plans. A voice suddenly called out to her:
- Hey, old one!
She turned around and stared angrily at a little old man with a gray beard, who had a red fly agaric with white circles on his head. To be honest, the old man himself looked a lot like a fly agaric, or so it seemed to Dasha.
- Why did you complain? – the old woman asked again angrily.
– Why don’t we answer questions? - the old man, for some reason, liked to speak in the plural.
- What do you care, toadstool? I would walk through the forest while my legs are intact. – And she burst into laughter, turning again into a friendly old woman.
-Are we being rude? – the old man asked slyly.
- What? – Laughter didn’t understand.
- What are we hiding?
- Hey, forest trash, don’t be stupid.
- Ali what? – the old man continued to “cunning”, winking cheerfully at Dasha.
Steam came out of the old woman's ears and nose. She started stomping her feet out of anger.
Suddenly a cat with red eyes attacked the old man. But the old man was not taken aback and, jumping high, sat astride the cat, grabbing him by the ears, shouting:
- Hey, damned one!
The cat was so stunned that he began to rush in all directions. Set up a tramcar. He pushed Old Lady Laughter into the second barrel of dough.
Dasha was not taken aback, she broke free from the dough, grabbed the lid from the barrel and tried to close the old woman. But Laughter managed to stick her hand through and grab tightly onto the edge of the barrel. Dasha tried to press down with all her might, but nothing worked. Then she bit the old woman hard on the fingers and she relaxed her hand, screaming in pain. Dasha slammed the lid tightly, tipped it on its side and rolled it towards the lighted stove, where, with great difficulty, they shoved the barrel together with the old man.
Suddenly, groans and screams were heard from the oven. The old woman begged for mercy, promising not to make pies from naughty children anymore. Dasha was a kind girl, although she sometimes liked to be naughty, so no matter what, she felt sorry for Old Lady Laughter. And she decided to pull it out of the stove, but the old man stopped her.
“Hey, honey, do you promise not to do that again?” Ali, no? - He asked the Old Lady.
- Oh, killer whale, my godmother, I promise, I promise.
- Well, Dashulka, then stomp three times.
Dasha immediately stomped three times.
- Well, my dear, repeat yourself.
But the old woman was silent.
- Don't be wise, villain! – the old man shouted to her.
The old woman promised not to do this again. The old man and Dasha pulled the barrel out of the stove and opened it. Steam poured out from there, and then the ruddy Old Lady Laughter appeared, as if from a bathhouse.
Oh, how she bowed down and apologized to Dasha. Then she treated the girl and the old man to delicious pies with berries. She put a pot-bellied samovar and a jar of linden honey on the table. Dasha really enjoyed the treat.
Then Grandma Laughter took her home on a mortar.
Dasha ran to the house in tears. Mom, who was grieving and could not find a place for herself, saw her from the window and ran out onto the porch with outstretched arms and received her sobbing daughter in them.
Since then, Dasha has stopped being capricious and angry. She simply stopped behaving badly and completed all her tasks on time. The saying, “Time for business is time for fun,” became her motto.

Dear friends, let me introduce you to a short therapeutic fairy tale for treating children's tears. I have previously posted a fairy tale with a similar meaning. Only now, one of my friends expressed the opinion that this fairy tale can scare a child and he will stop crying simply because of fear. Here I think that each parent must determine for himself what kind of fairy tale can be told to his child according to his age and receptivity. For those who really find the first fairy tale scary, I suggest this little fairy tale.

Dasha and Sunny (a good fairy tale for little crybabies)

Once upon a time there lived a little girl Dasha. Dasha was a smart and kind girl, but she was just a crybaby. As soon as something happens, Dasha bursts into tears. Her mom and dad were very upset, but they couldn’t do anything. And Dasha had a grandmother who lived in a village near the river. Dasha couldn’t wait for them to go to their grandmother and all go to the river together, swim and play there. The day has finally come. Dasha woke up and looked out the window, the sun was shining brightly. The girl got out of bed and went to brush her teeth, but she couldn’t find a toothbrush. Dasha began to cry, her mother came, and they began to look for a brush. They searched and searched and found it with great effort. Dasha brushed her teeth, went to eat, and there was oatmeal on the table, and Dasha doesn’t like it, only semolina. Dasha began to cry again and barely calmed down. After eating, Dasha began to drink tea and spilled it on her new dress, began to cry again, and cried until her mother found her a new dress. Dasha changed her clothes, looked outside the window, but there was no sun there, it was drizzling.

“Where are we going to go now, Dashenka?” The sun has hidden, it’s raining, we won’t be able to swim in the river,” says mom.

- Why, why? – Dasha started crying again.

“I don’t know, my girl, you should ask the sun.”

- Well, I’ll ask! - Dasha answered.

Dasha went out into the yard, raised her head and began to call the sun: “Sunshine! Sun! Where are you? Why did you hide? I wanted to go to the river so much, I waited so long.”

Suddenly he sees the sun peeking out from behind a cloud, descending a little lower to Dasha and saying:

- Hello, Dashenka. How can I, how can I not hide behind a cloud? I'm sad.

- Why are you sad? It was shining so brightly this morning.

- I had fun this morning. And then you woke up and started crying. I listened to you cry and I felt so sad that I didn’t even want to shine. And the cloud listened to you, she also became sad, so she burst into tears. So much so that it began to rain.

- Is it really because of me? – Dasha was surprised, “I won’t cry anymore!” Thank you, sunshine!

Dasha said so and ran home to her mother. And the Sun was happy, smiled, and rose into the sky. And the cloud smiled and stopped crying. A rainbow appeared in the sky. Mom and Dasha looked out the window, and there the sun was shining and there was a rainbow in the whole sky. Mom and Dasha got ready and went to visit their grandmother in the village to swim in the river.
