Is an artificial tree sacrilege? Not at all. On the contrary, from the point of view of preserving the environment, buying an artificial Christmas tree for the New Year is a noble act. And by the way, you don’t have to buy a Christmas tree; you can make an unusual Christmas tree with your own hands.

How to make an unusual Christmas tree with your own hands

In almost all options for how to make an unusual Christmas tree, a cardboard base is used, as in previous master classes; all the unusualness of today's Christmas trees lies in the decorative materials.

To begin with, a selection of four unusual Christmas trees.

See below for how to make these beautiful Christmas trees.

The first tree is made from spoons.

To make this Christmas tree you will need: a pack of plastic spoons, glue and paint. The process of work is quite simple: we cut off the handles from the spoons, lay them on newspaper or waste paper and cover them with spray paint (the cardboard base, by the way, can also be sprayed with paint). As soon as the paint has dried, we begin to glue the spoons, as shown in photos 6,7,8.

The next Christmas tree is made from Christmas tree decorations.

In order to make a Christmas tree from toys you will need: the actual packaging of Christmas tree decorations, glue, base and Christmas tree tinsel. We remove the rivets from the toys, glue the Christmas balls to the base, then glue tinsel into the space between the balls to hide the gaps. We admire the result!

And the remaining two Christmas trees: one is made of tinsel and sweets, and the other is made only of tinsel.

Or you can make a Christmas tree from tree leaves. Paint them with some spray paint and glue everything to the same base. It turns out to be a rather unusual, beautiful tree.

Other original ways to make a Christmas tree with your own hands include foam balls, feathers and glitter.

With Christmas trees made of feathers or foam balls, everything is clear - just glue them to the base. But about how to make a “shiny” Christmas tree, a few words should be said: before applying sparkles, apply a mixture of shaving gel and glue (1: 1) to the base, let it dry a little and sprinkle with sparkles. Agree, such trees look very original.

Another option that deserves attention is a Christmas tree made of cones or twigs. You can make a Christmas tree from whole cones.

Or you can, so to speak, “disassemble” the cone and glue its scales, as shown in the photo.

The unusual tree made of pine cones is ready.

An equally beautiful and original Christmas tree can be made from sunflower or pumpkin seeds.

It’s probably no secret that nowadays you can buy artificial fruits, and from them, as you can see in the photo below, you can make an unusual Christmas tree. Pre-paint the base in a suitable color, give the paint time to dry. Pour fruit over the dried base, decorate the bottom with beautiful branches, a bow on top and you can surprise your loved ones with an original Christmas tree.

By the way, in order to make a New Year’s topiary in the shape of a Christmas tree with your own hands, a cardboard cone will also work. In general, let's watch a mini master class on creating a New Year's topiary. A cone made of thick paper or cardboard needs to be glued to a stick (by the way, if you ate rolls the day before, you can use a stick from them) wrapped with twine or a beautiful thread. Glue the resulting structure to a glass, fill it with rice, and decorate it with tinsel on top. Well, now we’ll make the Christmas tree itself: cover the cone with lace, paint it and you can glue on various decorations (even the most ordinary buttons will do, the main thing is to paint them first).

You can leave the finished topiary Christmas tree in your decor, or you can give it to one of your friends for good luck.

A cardboard cone can be useful not only as a direct base for a Christmas tree. You can cover it with cling film and wrap it with threads pre-soaked in glue. Glue different decorations and let them dry. When the glue dries, the Christmas tree made of threads can easily be removed from the cardboard cone, and all thanks to the film.

Or simply wrap the cone with wire, the wire with a garland and put on the toys. It turns out to be a very nice Christmas tree.

In addition to the garland, you can use some kind of fabric or lace. You will also get a very beautiful Christmas tree.

Or you can stick buttons into the foam base. Glue rhinestones or beads.

Or wrap the base tightly with thread and decorate it beautifully with buttons.

Buttons can be used not only to decorate the finished Christmas tree, but also to make a Christmas tree out of them, as shown in the photo.

And finally, speaking of unusual Christmas trees, one cannot help but recall wooden Christmas trees. Currently, various designer models have been developed that are sold in online and regular stores.

Are you and I worse than designers? - You can make a wooden Christmas tree with your own hands. To do this, you will need a sheet of fiberboard and tools to cut out the necessary parts from the sheet of fiberboard, and preferably a husband who will do everything.

Or this option, the principle is the same. This beautiful Christmas tree, like the previous one, is assembled from two parts.

If your husband is comfortable with this kind of work, you can persuade him to take on a more labor-intensive project: creating this unusual Christmas tree. I hope everything is very clear in the photo instructions.

The finished Christmas tree is attached to the wall, and you can decorate it as you please. You can even paint it some color, I think that will only make it better.

By the way, if you want such a tree to last a long time, treat it with protective agents.

In addition, you can use wooden dies, planks, branches, etc. Cut them into different sizes and glue them together or nail them to the base. The result is original tabletop Christmas trees.

Or you can “string” the dies onto a thin base, you will get a beautiful three-dimensional Christmas tree. By the way, its “branches” can be rotated around their axis.

Or here’s a simple option to make an original Christmas tree with your own hands: just dress up the tray accordingly.

Or use an old wooden door or window shutters.

And here is another Christmas tree, which can be created using sticks left over after eating the rolls.

In addition, you can make an enlarged copy of such a Christmas tree.

Too troublesome, but did you like the tree? - Dress up the stepladder, quickly and easily.

And for those who have time for a carriage and a trolley, I would like to present the following “masterpieces”.

You can get confused and make a weightless Christmas tree. Surely you have a round lattice, and fishing line with hooks is not a scarce commodity these days. The main thing is that the Christmas tree turns out to be extraordinary.

An equally magical Christmas tree can be made from a metal mesh; just make a cone out of it, decorate it and enjoy the New Year’s “magic”.

Or you can make an unusual Christmas tree from wire and a large mirror. You need to make semicircles of different sizes, attach them to a triangular base, and paint them with paint. Once the paint dries, decorate the floor of the Christmas tree with a garland and attach it to the mirror.

Turn on the garland, turn off the lights and admire the resulting Christmas tree.

In addition to the mirror, you can use an unnecessary painting and create an unusual Christmas tree panel.

In general, you can make a Christmas tree out of anything: books, balls, corks, light bulbs, etc. Go for it! And for inspiration, below are a few more photos of unusual Christmas trees.

By the way, you can make an unusual one out of the most ordinary Christmas tree, for example, turn it into a snowman!

These are the unusual Christmas trees you can make with your own hands for the New Year. Happy New Year to you!

What New Year can be imagined without the main symbol - the Christmas tree. Green beauties are sold on every corner on the eve of the holiday. However, for such a holiday it is not necessary to buy a live spruce. Try making it yourself. Therefore, in this article we will talk about what you can use to make a Christmas tree for the New Year holiday. It is worth saying that you can create the main symbol of the New Year from completely different materials. And today we will tell you more about this.

Mini Christmas trees made from pine cones.

If your children love making crafts just like you, then they can also take part in creating such crafts. The next craft - a New Year tree consists of cones and plasticine. All your child needs is to learn how to roll small balls from plasticine. At the same time, you can use plasticine of the brightest shades for this purpose. You can use regular spools of thread as a base for the Christmas tree. But you must wrap them in foil. The cones are attached to the coil using super glue.

If you like the next Christmas tree, then take acrylic paints and paint the cone with it. Remember that it is wisest to use green paint here. In this case, the tips of the tree are painted white with paint. Make a base for the Christmas tree from brown plasticine. Use a star for decoration.

The next craft is a little more difficult to make. It is worth using beads here. Therefore, if your child is small, then monitor this process yourself. Glue the beads to the pine cone using a glue gun.

All of the above crafts made from pine cones can not only decorate your home. It will be a pleasure to present such Christmas trees as a gift to your loved one.

The next craft looks more voluminous. And to create it you will need several cones. As a base here you should use a cone of thick cardboard. After which, the cone is covered with cones on all sides. In this work it is customary to use a cool gun. Once the glue has dried, cover the tree with large beads.

Simple tinsel trees.

If you read this article, you can learn how to make an artificial Christmas tree at home. Above we offered you ideas for Christmas trees that were made from pine cones. Now we suggest using tinsel for this job. Naturally, for such a craft you must purchase the tinsel itself. For Christmas trees, make cones from cardboard. Then, glue tinsel to them. In this case, the tinsel should be glued to the cone in a spiral. While working, arm yourself with a glue gun.

Christmas tree made of candies.

The next Christmas tree may turn out to be not only a beautiful decoration, but also a very nice gift. To make this craft, make a cone. Secure the candies to it with tape, and then wrap the Christmas tree with tinsel.

A simple and voluminous Christmas tree made of paper.

The next craft is also very easy to make. It can be an excellent decoration for a child's room during the New Year holidays. To make it, prepare:

  • thick green cardboard,
  • markers, glitter, paints,
  • scissors and glue,
  • scotch.

Progress:

  1. We bend a sheet of cardboard in half and use scissors to cut it along the fold.
  2. We put the two parts that you got together and bend them in half again.
  3. Opposite the fold, using a marker, draw half of the Christmas tree.
  4. Now cut along the drawn line. As a result, you will get 2 Christmas trees that will not differ in any way from each other.
  5. Using gentle movements, bend each tree in half. Mark the center.
  6. Next, make a cut on one of the trees. The cut should be long from the very tip to the midline. For another tree, the cut should be from bottom to middle.
  7. Now we connect the trees by inserting them into the resulting cuts.
  8. To make the tree more stable, use tape.
  9. That's all, now start decorating your Christmas tree. Use your imagination and available materials here.

And here is another version of the Christmas tree, which you can make in the same way from an old cardboard box.

Elegant Christmas tree made of paper.

If you want to know how to make a beautiful Christmas tree, then the next idea was created especially for you. For such a Christmas tree, prepare:

  • colored paper,
  • scotch,
  • glue and scissors.

The most difficult thing is to cut strips of colored paper, which must have the same length and width. In this case, each strip must be glued together with tape to form a loop. After which all the loops are glued to a strip of tape.

You should wrap a thick cardboard cone with similar garlands.

How to make a glowing Christmas tree.

If you decide to learn how to make a Christmas tree with your own hands, then you are on the right track. Above we have described some simple crafts. Now it’s time to engage in serious creativity in order to do something original.

For a creative Christmas tree, prepare:

  • Flower floristic sphere. For this case, we recommend buying more than one shade of green.
  • Scissors, PVA glue.
  • Thick cardboard for the cone.
  • Cellophane, pins, garland, floral wire.
  • Various decorations.

Progress:

  1. First, we make a cone from cardboard.
  2. We wrap the cone in cellophane.
  3. We dilute glue with water in a container.
  4. We cut the floral mesh into pieces and place each piece in a container with glue and water.
  5. Now glue the pieces onto the cone. In this case, the joints are glued again for reliability.
  6. Use pins to prevent your craft from coming apart at the seams.
  7. As a result, you have the first layer of the tree. Make the second layer in the same way. Remember that after gluing the second layer, the structure must dry well.
  8. If the glue is dry, remove your tree from the cone.
  9. A garland is placed inside the tree.
  10. Now just decorate the Christmas tree as you wish.

Christmas tree made of threads.

If you want to have something unusual in your home for the New Year, then in addition to standard decorations, decorate your home with various New Year-themed crafts.

When the glue is dry, separate the cone from the paper.

Decorate the finished Christmas tree with various accessories. You also glue the decorations to the tree using glue.

You can make a hat out of cardboard, cover it with fabric and sew on a pompom.

DIY shabby chic style Christmas tree

Let's make such an amazingly beautiful and original craft in the fashionable shabby chic style.

Necessary materials.

For the base, take a large paper glass or any plastic container. Separately, dilute alabaster or gypsum with water to the thickness of liquid sour cream and pour it into the future pot. We secure the trunk of our tree, plant the branch in the center and fix it in this position until it hardens.

We make a cone out of cardboard using a stapler.

We make the top of the spruce from wire and foam rubber.

We connect the top to the trunk and attach the cone.

We wrap the base of the tree with white fur.

We cut off the excess from below.

Then we bend the ends of the burlap inward and attach it with hot glue.

Let's get to the fun part - decorating our Christmas tree in shabby chic style.

To create the finished composition we will need a stand.

We make a bench from a bamboo napkin.

From white fur - a snowman.

We attach a bell to the top of the spruce.

We decorate the New Year tree with beads, pearls, flowers, lace, etc.

Apply transparent glue to the very top of the tree.

And sprinkle with artificial snow.

We do the same with the bench.

Our composition “Winter's Tale” is ready!

Decorative Christmas tree made from napkins

We will make it from cardboard and single-layer napkins. You will also need beads for decoration.

First of all, we will build a frame for our Christmas tree. We roll a cone out of cardboard, fasten it (I stitched it with thread) and cut off the bottom of the cone exactly so that it can stand.

The base is ready, put it aside for now. Now let's move on to napkins. We will make roses from them. Single-layer plain paper napkins are suitable for us.

Take a napkin and cut it along the folds. Then we fold it in three and cut along the folds again.

We fold the resulting strips in three and cut them again. We got a square equal to 1/9 of a napkin.

We fasten this square in the center with a stapler.

Then cut a circle out of it. Mega-precision and accuracy are not required here at all; the finished rose can be slightly adjusted with scissors.

This way a rose is formed. If the finished rose seems uneven to you, then you can trim it with scissors.

The number of such flowers depends on the size of your cardboard cone. My Christmas tree was 21cm high and I needed 59 roses for it.

When all the flowers are ready, we return to the cone. Starting from the top of the head, glue the flowers onto the cone so that the base is not visible. I glued it with hot glue (it’s more convenient for me), but ordinary PVA will do.

I made a Christmas tree out of napkins of two colors. If you also decide to create your own craft from multi-colored roses, then you can safely experiment with alternating them on a cone. If the result does not suit you, you can always tear off the flower and re-glue it to another place. In this case, only the lower layer of the flower will be damaged. We simply tear it off (the bottom layer). The rosette will not lose its appearance.

So, we glued the flowers to the cone. The Christmas tree itself is ready and you can stop at this stage.

I also decorated it with beads - I glued it with the same hot glue, PVA won’t help here.

As you can see, even a beginner can make such beauty, so you can safely involve children in the process.

Christmas tree made of plasticine with candies

What do we all associate with the wonderful New Year holiday? With the smell of pine needles, bright lights, garlands, sweets. And children also create unusual crafts with their own hands, thereby bringing the pleasant moment of a fabulous night closer. They love creativity lessons on this topic most of all. It is in crafts that you can realize any fantasies.

We suggest making an elegant Christmas tree that can be easily decorated with candies. Make a craft from plasticine - the cheapest and most popular material. You will definitely make a beautiful souvenir if you follow our tips - they are not complicated.

To sculpt a Christmas tree with your own hands, prepare:

  • green plasticine for the crown;
  • stump in the form of a cap or an empty spool of thread;
  • toothpick, red and white plasticine for candy.

Select a green block of plasticine from the set. The body of the Christmas tree itself will be made from it, and in the future we will make small candies as toys. Of course, a small souvenir does not have to be green; another color that you choose will do. If you manage to find a set on sale that contains a gold bar, then this option will look rich.

Knead the entire prepared block thoroughly in your hands and prepare it for further work. It is necessary to form a cone-shaped crown, and not quite the usual flat one, but a curved one, similar to the cap of a fairy-tale gnome. Since we are talking about a magical holiday, it is not forbidden to fantasize and create something incredible.

Pull all the soft plasticine into a long cone. Make the upper part as sharp as possible, press the lower part around the circumference with your fingers, showing the skirt. Then take and bend the entire structure to the side. Sometimes the Christmas trees do not stretch up perfectly straight, but lean to the side like this.

To model Christmas tree decorations - small candies - use white and red plasticine. Form red round tablets (the inner part of the candy), as well as white triangles (the twisted part of the candy wrappers).

Glue delicious candies together. Glue a white dot onto each red round piece and press it in the center with a toothpick. Glue the triangular pieces on the sides.

Make enough decorative details to fill the entire surface of the Christmas tree, evenly distributing the candies around the circumference at some distance.

Glue all the resulting blanks to the crown. This beautiful New Year's craft is almost ready. Press down a small lid - a stump - from below (or mold it from plasticine).

And the top is still missing. She just begs to be added to the resulting fairytale Christmas tree. Come up with some option, for example the same spruce branches in combination with red berries. All this looks festive and bright.

This is such a fantastic Christmas tree. This is an elegant version of a craft for the New Year, which will be an excellent gift for your favorite holiday.

The New Year is just around the corner - you need to hurry up to get everything done.

How to make a card like this.

DIY felt Christmas tree

Let's make Christmas trees from felt - this is an excellent New Year's decoration and perfect for school or kindergarten.

Prepare for them:

  • Set of colored felt;
  • cotton wool;
  • glue "Moment" transparent;
  • any beads;
  • threads for knitting and sewing;
  • a needle;
  • scissors;
  • felt-tip pen.

Choose appropriate felt colors. These can be different shades of green. Or you can show your imagination and make an unusual red or blue spruce. Fold a couple of sheets of felt together and draw the shape of a fir tree on the top one.

Cut a piece of felt with a pattern along its entire length and fold it in half as shown in the photo. We do this only if the felt is not very thick, otherwise it will be difficult to cut 4 layers at once.

Cut 4 blanks into shape.

To give them a bulge, put a little cotton wool, as shown in the photo.

Lubricate the edges of the workpiece with glue.

Cut a piece of knitting thread and attach it to the top of the workpiece, directly on the glue. It can be hung from it. Attach the second piece and press along the edge so that both parts stick together.

On a light Christmas tree, make stitches with threads of a darker green color. This will add originality to the craft.

Decorate the second with a border of pearl beads. To do this, make a layer of glue along the edge and place beads on it.

Now let your little one decorate them however he or she wishes. After drying, the craft is ready for use.

This simple craft will be a great decoration for your Christmas tree. It can be given to grandparents. Older children will be able to do it completely on their own. Using this principle, you can make any felt decorations. Whatever your imagination suggests.
